President’s Report – positive start to year with Australia Day and Don & Mary’s 50th performances; need to actively recruit new singers.

Music Director’s Report – need to increase membership; 2008 repertoire consolidation rather than new material; aim to use original music for practices but have workbook photocopies for home practice (means of supplying needed copies to be implemented); singing/vocal skills to be focused on as required when each piece is revised; still a number of missing pieces to be returned to library.

General Business – clarification that annual $20 membership is due by end of March. New Membership Details forms to be completed and returned to Laurelle a.s.a.p.

Members are advised to have a ‘buddy’ (particularly those not online) to ensure efficient communication of choir messages especially at short notice.
Gordon Sloper moved that the choir plan to present a mid-year concert to benefit a nominated charity. Sec: Sheila Musarra
Steve Meskell moved that a new keyboard stand more suitable to our needs be purchased. Sec: Chris Derrick Price to be determined before approval.
Joanne Rossiter suggested participating in events hosted by other choirs to follow up on various Big Sing contacts. Details required.
June Willoughby expressed concern that purple shirts have reached a stage where they need replacing because of colour variations. Open to suggestions.
